Social Services is a key part of all government services. There has been a lot of concern across the country that many social services departments may be overstepping bounds with Child Protective Services. In California there were great concerns with the Trans-Children matters.
This page is currently dediated to concerns about the process with which they accept complaint information, process it and assign it -- with specific examples related to complaaing for Aging and Elderly services.
The email below was sent to Social Services AFTER a lengthy phone call, which is noted in the email. This email was personally confirmed by Social Services as was an additional one after this with a formal complaint filled out. No return callse or emails about this were made to the filer. Ever.
Surprise visits were made to Charlie's home, in direct opposition to the requests made. A meeting was scheduled with Social Services resulting from those calls. That meeting transpired with Charlie, his brother and the filer of this complaint. Social services initially refused to claim what matter the meeting was about. When a Social Work Supervisor (180,000/yr) and Social Worker (100,000/yr) were presneted with this email and the attachement, they both said they'd never seen it. They then told the filer that if they had seen it, the elders wre their clients, not the filer nor the People of Monterey County paying their salaries.
No response or followup was given for either of these concerns/complaints to the filer.
The Current head of Social Services is Roderick Franks of Chanhassen Minnesota.
